The Triangle Tangle

In this class we’ll learn about the fascinating history of Silverpoint and then get started examining the materials (see Supply List below). You will need to purchase and/or bring these supplies to class. Amazon and Blick have the Cretacolor Silverpoint Pencils and you can find the Gessobords in several places.

We will then dive into using some basic drawing techniques to get comfortable with this new medium: making marks with silver!

We’ll briefly discuss using reference photos and the rule of thirds. I’ll provide a few photos to use for this exercise.

• Kneaded eraser
